WHAT IS PRP HAIR RESTORATION?

Regenerative medicine is becoming increasingly popular across a variety of medical disciplines, and for good reason. Utilizing a small amount of blood drawn from your arm, Dr. Helen Hsieh then uses a centrifuge to spin the blood and separate the growth factors (healing cells) from the red blood cells and other components that do not contain regenerative materials. These growth factors, known as platelet rich plasma, will then be injected into the scalp strategically into the areas experiencing hair loss. These platelet rich plasma injections help promote hair growth in existing hair follicles as well as dormant hair follicles, leading to a thicker, fuller head of hair!

Most patients report that injections only feel like a slight prick following this technique.

  • How fast will I notice the results?

    Each person will respond differently, and some patients experience an improvement in the first four to six weeks. In general, most patients will need three treatments spaced out over three months and will see peak results three months after completing the protocol.

  • Why choose PRP Hair Restoration over other hair loss medications/treatments?

    PRP hair restoration has been proven across many studies to be a safe and effective treatment for hair loss in men and women.
